Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! Whether you are returning to Morning Creek or joining our school community for the first time, I am excited to welcome you. Thank you for entrusting us with your child and for partnering with us in what I know will be an incredible year of learning and growth.
At Morning Creek, we believe every child deserves to feel known, challenged, and valued each day they walk through our doors. Our goal is to create a school where students feel a strong sense of belonging, are inspired to do their best, and are supported to reach their full potential.
This year, our theme is Be a Game Changer. To us, being a game changer is about making a positive difference through the choices we make every day. Every student has the opportunity to change the game by showing kindness, persevering through challenges, taking responsibility for their actions, and making choices that positively impact those around them.
Being a Game Changer is not just for our students—it is a commitment our entire Morning Creek team is making. Our administration, teachers, support staff, office team, and classified staff are committed to creating a school where every student feels they belong and receives the high-quality instruction, encouragement, and support they need to thrive. Every decision we make is guided by one question: How can we change outcomes for students?
This commitment is reflected in our COLTs Have Character expectations. Our Colts learn that being a positive member of our school community means showing Care, Owning Your Actions, Listening and Learning, Treating Others Respectfully, and Staying Safe. These shared expectations help students build relationships, make responsible choices, and create classrooms where everyone feels safe, respected, and ready to learn.
We also know that changing outcomes for students is a team effort. When families and schools work together, children thrive. Your partnership, encouragement, and communication make a tremendous difference in your child's success, and we value the trust you place in us each day.
As we begin this new school year, I look forward to seeing our classrooms filled with curiosity, meaningful learning, laughter, and growth. Together, we will celebrate successes, navigate challenges, and help every Colt discover that they have the power to be a Game Changer—in the classroom, on the playground, and in our community.
